Job Summary

Process all guest check-ins by confirming reservations in computer system, verifying guest identity, requesting form of payment, assigning room, and issuing room key in accordance with property policies and procedures. Operate telephone switchboard station. Respond to and resolve guest requests, including wake-up call requests. Run daily reports (number of arrivals, departures), identify any special requests, and check reports for accuracy. Review shift logs/daily memo books and document pertinent information in logbooks. Process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit. Count and secure bank. Complete end-of-day activities including posting charges to accounts, completing cashier and closing reports, running night audit backup, and roll the date. Print and fold folios and ensure that they are placed under each guest room door the night before check-out.

Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect. Support team to reach common goals. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e. g., small print). Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards. Night Auditor

   Check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy. Record, store, access, and/or analyze computerized financial information. Control and secure cash and cash equivalents for property according to cash handling policy and procedures. Organize, secure, and maintain all files and records in accordance with document retention and confidentiality policies and procedures. Prepare, maintain, and distribute statistical, financial, accounting, auditing, or payroll reports and tables. Audit statistical, financial, accounting, auditing, or payroll reports and tables. Audit and reconcile all revenue postings.

Assistant General Manager:

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for supporting all aspects of the operation including guest and employee satisfaction, human resources, financial performance, sales and revenue generation and delivering a return on investment. Assists the General Manager in leading the team in the development and implementation of property-wide strategies. Verifies the implementation of the brand service strategy and brand initiatives with the objective of meeting or exceeding guest expectations. Builds relationships with key customers and is involved in the sales process.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED; 4 years experience in the guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area.

OR

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 2 years experience in the guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or related professional area.

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Assisting the Operational and Financial Management of the Property

  • Verifies that all brand standards are being maintained in each area of the property.
  • Verifies that all team members meet or exceed all brand requirements.
  • Manages the operation of the all property departments.
  • Promotes both Guarantee of Fair Treatment and Open Door policies.
  • Verifies that a viable key control program is in place.
  • Maintains current licenses and permits as prescribed by local, state and federal agencies.
  • Provides a safe working environment in compliance with OSHA/MSDS.
  • Manages all finance and accounting functions, including, but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, petty cash, payroll and ordering procedures, end of period, banking procedures and PAF’s.
  • Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.
  • Complies with all corporate accounting procedures.
  • Performs required annual Quality audit with GM and RD.

Supporting the Management and Development of Departmental Teams

  • Stays readily available/approachable for all employees.

Maintenance

Job Summary

Perform scheduled preventative maintenance in guest rooms (CARE, RPM, GCPM), meeting rooms, and/or public spaces as required, including flipping/inspecting mattresses, box springs and assembling bed frames, vacuuming behind and underneath furniture, spot cleaning carpets and upholstery, dusting, touch-up painting, touch-up furniture ensuring that all necessary hardware and appliances are present in the room and in working order, replacing light fixtures, and inspecting and repairing grout and caulking. Maintain, repair and clean all guest rooms in accordance with the property room preventative maintenance procedures and standard guidelines. Perform miscellaneous minor repairs such as tightening loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and patching holes in walls. Perform general cleaning of all guestroom surfaces to include tub, wall tile, hard floors, walls, windows, mirrors. Report any serious maintenance problems, unusual findings, or safety hazards immediately to the manager/supervisor.
