Gita Patel joined the JSK corporate team in 2013 as Vice President of Purchasing. Prior to joining JSK corporate, Gita served as General Manager of the families Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites University Area South Bend since the hotels opening in 2005. Her experience in the hotel industry, matched with her can-do attitude and positive spirit, is invaluable.
Gita joined the family business at the age of 16 as a Guest Service Representative at the family owned Comfort Inn Elkhart Indiana. She continued to work there on and off, as school would allow, before moving to Kansas City, MO, at the age of 20.
Gita prepped herself for hotel management by working as a Hotel Assistant General Manager in Kansas City. Since then, she has learned the ins and outs of managing properties by acting as manager of the Cincinnati-Dayton Super 8 and the Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites University Area South Bend.
Gita completed a Computer Science program at IU-Bloomington, and also spent time at Las Vegas' Key Realty Real Estate School in Nevada, where she learned more about building and development, as well as buying and selling property. To further her knowledge in the hospitality industry, Gita also attended Edgerton's Travel Agency School and received a travel agent certification.
Gita is diligent in her approach and takes great pride in her work. Her education in real estate and hospitality is vital to the success of the JSK purchasing programs.
